49th GST Council Meeting being held today - 18 Feb 2023.

Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman chairs the 49th meeting of the GST Council, in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, today.

• The meeting is likely to discuss setting up appellate tribunals & mechanisms to curb tax evasion in pan masala & gutkha business.
• GoM report on online gaming unlikely to be discussed.
• Council to discuss GST rates of millet products, pencil sharpeners, raab, pan masala.
