Central Goods and Services Tax (Ninth Amendment) Rules, 2020

GST e-invoice limit increased from 100 crores to 500 croroes. Form GST INV-01 has also been revised.

CBIC vide earlier Notification No. 13/2020 dated 21.03.2020 notified the class of registered person having aggregate turnover of more than Rs. 100 crores rupees for the mandatory issuance of e-invoice in the prescribed format.

However CBIC now vide Notification No. 61/2020 dated 30.07.2020 has revised this limit from Rs. 100 crores to Rs. 500 crores. The e-invoice will be effective from 01.10.2020.

The format / schema of e-invoice in FORM GST INV-01 has also been modified vide Central Goods and Services Tax (Ninth Amendment) Rules, 2020.
